Reel Nature: Kids Filmmaking Day in the Park

Join us at Lowdermilk Park for a hands-on, four-hour outdoor filmmaking experience for children ages 7 to 14. Kids will spin the Peace Keyword Wheel, take their word into nature, build a story around it, and learn how to create a short film from start to finish. No experience needed.

During this workshop, your child will discover their creative voice through storytelling and nature, learn basic filmmaking and shot composition, collaborate with peers in a small, supportive group, learn how to edit footage into a short reel, and leave with confidence and a new skill.

Reel Nature is free to attend and powered by an amazing team of creative volunteers. It is fiscally sponsored by Conscious Arts Media Productions (CAMP), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so donations are tax-deductible.
