About the HostNatalie Guerra is a poet from Fort Myers, Florida, and a first-generation American born to Salvadoran parents. She views life through a lens of opportunity and optimism. Although passionate about writing, she studied Biology at the University of South Florida-St. Petersburg and also spent time abroad studying French and Spanish. After working in emergency medicine and pharmacology, Guerra rediscovered her creative voice through poetry. She is the author of over 200 poems focused on G.R.O.W.T.H., an acronym she uses to describe grieving, resting, and writing to heal. Beyond her own work, Guerra actively supports the local literary community by hosting open mics, writer’s circles, and other events for poets and storytellers. She has built a network of over 100 writers across Southwest Florida and continues to create safe spaces for connection and self-expression through writing.
