Otto von Kotzebue Landing in Fort Myers May 7th at the Sidney Berne Davis Center “Visions”
Artist Otto von Kotzebue will travel from Germany for the opening night of the “Visions” exhibit at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center May 7. “Visions” showcases artists from around the world represented by Maria Kann through May 27 at SBDAC. Besides German artist Otto von Kotzebue, the exhibit features Patricia Mulko of France, Gloria Audo of Argentina, and Sandi Badash of the United States. Opening reception starts at 6 p.m. during downtown Fort Myers’ Art Walk. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., weekdays.
Otto von Kotzebue’s exhibitions took him to Italy, France, Germany, and all over the United States. Now, they will take him to Southwest Florida’s Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. His work shows his special love for American cities like New York and Chicago and more rural landscapes like the plains of the West. Meet this acclaimed artist along with the intriguing works of these international artists:
- Gloria Audo (Argentina), who studied with masters such as Ponciano Cardenas and Carlos Canas. She has illustrated books, painted murals, and shown her art around the world.
- Sandi Badash has done one woman shows around the country in California, Connecticut, New York, and Arizona, as well as in Cambridge, UK.
- Patricia Mulko, of France, has had exhibits all over Europe, at Agora Gallery in New York, and Sweet Art Gallery Naples Florida.
Visions opens May 7 during Art Walk, with a reception open to the public at 6 p.m. Regular exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
