My hat goes off to Laura Hamel Jones, everything that we attended seem to go on without a hitch. You never realized how much work was involved from the whole team with the Edison Pageant of Light. The Pageant organization as well had 2 great successful balls . Everyone there seem to enjoy the fun and catching up with many of their friends. It was a good time for Fort Myers to shine. Here is some of the things that happened at the parade.
This should really be fun the proceeds go to the Children’s Hospital of SW Florida. They have planned plenty of Greek cuisine ,Greek dancing and carnival rides as well . Saturday was cold and windy down by the river , but it was fun . I got to see some great art as well as talk to some old friends like Connie Martin, Betty Parker, and Marin Asher . All the Art was wonderful. Publix Supermarkets even took part. My highlight of the day was just hanging out with my family.
This is some of what you may expect in downtown Fort Myers on Saturday and Sunday. Last year it was great. Your family will have a good time and so will you.
There were over 100 antique cars displayed on the Henry Ford home on Feb 6, 2010. If you were lucky Henry Ford and his wife gave impromptu tours of the estate. It was very windy and cold that morning along the river. The true car aficionados were out to check out what was under the hood. It was a fun family affair. They had a contest to see which car was the best. The kids seem to have fun that day.
